about me

Hi!  I'm Kate.  I started reading blogs in 2012 after finding so many through Pinterest.  I loved them!  I was so inspired by these talented ladies, cooking, cleaning, homeschooling, decorating, crafting you name it.....they made staying at home look fun!

Still Room To Grow is snippets from my past and present that have molded me into the women I am now and will continue to become.  I believe in keeping it real, I am not perfect, my house does not look perfect, except for a  few short minutes when I have chosen to photograph it.

I have been married 12 years to my high school sweetheart.  He is funny, charming, a wonderful dad and a great help around the house.  We have moved 7 times in the past 12 years, moving to different states for my husbands job, (he works for a cheese company).  We have 3 children and live in the Midwest.

I feel like I am starting a new season in my life.  For the first time, since becoming a mother,  I feel like I am at a place where I can focus and have the free time to do something for me.  Dive back into the things that interest me and get me excited.  Though becoming a mother was the best thing that has ever happened to me, I quickly lost interest in the things I used to love.

For the first time, I don't have to worry about moving anymore and my kids are out of diapers and more independent.    My husband has a new job and is home much more and guess what...I HAVE FREE TIME!!

Oops, I spoke too soon.  I am about to embark on my first year of homeschooling!  To read more about why click on the homeschool link at the top of the page.  There goes all that free time!!  I still plan on blogging, but will probably only get in a few posts a month.  I am on instagram and will update that more frequently.  Send me a request at@stillroomtogrow.

So, that's how this little bloggy blog came into play.    It has been so satisfying  to "create" something and have an outlet for my interests, but without the pressures of a job.   I have gotten so many supportive emails from friends and family, I appreciate them so much!

I am realizing, that despite being an adult, there is still room to grow
