What does Family Bliss mean...to me, it means everyone is satisfied, not every minute of course, but in general all members are happy and content. How does one get to this state you ask? Well, I am a big reader of parenting, marriage and being a mom books. From the day I became a mother, I have been aspiring to be the best, mother, wife and housekeeper. I have found this quest to be exhausting and unattainable . I have found it hard to find a healthy balance. In the past, if I'm super mom, then I'm a lousy wife. If my house is spotless, then my family is a wreck.
But I had a thought, what if I focused on taking a few "big ideas" from all my books and really worked on becoming a well rounded mother. One that has her household in check, kids in line, a good relationship with her husband and at the end of the day isn't ragged and worn out. Is all that possible? My thought, is if I do "just enough" in all areas, then maybe I can create Family Bliss.
Starting October 1, I am gonna take you on my journey. Each week I will blog in the areas of parenting, marriage, household management and most importantly you...MOM. You know we hold the key don't you. I have been hearing it for years and am finally starting to "get it." I hope you will join me as I create Family Bliss!

*Please note that I am not an expert in this area, I am only sharing techniques that have worked on my family. Please keep in mind, that all families are different and results may vary.
I recently read Julie at Bravewriter.com who said that her main parenting goal was to create a happy family. That was such a revelation to me. I have always heard the opposite--that when you have discipline, home, etc. "right" then the result will be a happy family. But it hasn't worked for me either. So I'm adding you to my google reader and looking fwd to the rest of your posts!
